  • Three things I could do to during my session to ensure that the student clearly understands the concept that I am working on in the session.

    1. Check the current knowledge and shortcomings of the student.
    2. Adjusting the explanation to each particular case.
    3. Verification by asking questions, about the subject.
  • It is important to comprehend the student’s situation for the tutor to give an appropriate instruction and guiding. The tutor must ask questions to establish the current level of the student, what he/she understands of the problem and the problems the student have for comprehending its solution. This way the tutor can give the right tools to the student guiding him/her to the learning and understanding of the proposed topics.

  • Every student is unique, their singularities make necessary the adaption of the learning techniques and the way the topics are treated. There can be differences in the speed of learning, the methodology of teaching from the different schools, and the language or examples that best fit the student way of learning. The adjustment can make the tutoring more efficient and constructive.

  • There always should be a verification of the understanding in the topics explained. A student must be in capacity of resolve similar problems independently of the little differences between each situation. If the core concepts are not well understood the student will confuse and will have problems even though he/she already have been instructed in the way of resolving that kind of problem. That is why obtaining a solution from a determined problem is not enough for the learning process, the student must understand very well the topics so he/she will develop the capacity for posterior application of the concepts learned.

  • Following the progress proposed the students can receive a most efficient tutoring, that will guide them with appropriate tools so the learning will adjust to their particular necessities making the advancement more effective and quick. The most important thing in this process is the verification of the correct understanding of the student, this is the goal of tutoring: that the students comprehending of the problem will guide them to a correct applying of the topics and a better and easier understanding of the subsequent topics in their studies.
