    To “maintain the peace,” we’re typically encouraged to let things go. But, to the detriment of ourselves and others, are we truly letting go or forsaking our needs? Do you realize how significant your needs are? Do you treat them with deference? Others will not be if you are not. In order to maintain the idea of a peaceful relationship, “keeping the peace” often entails purposefully not conveying our demands.
