  • Attributes
Attributes are the core of any character, and must be determined first. These attributes (and their abbreviations) are:

    Brawn (BRN)
    Coordination (COO)
    Endurance: (END)
    Cognition: (COG)
    Wit: (WIT)

Attributes start at first level with 3 points in each. You must then distribute 5 points onto any of the Attributes, but no more than 3 in any one Attribute.
At every 10xp increments (10, 20, 30) you must increase two separate attributes by one.

    Examples of what attributes affect:

BRN: Brawn affects the damage of most conventional weapons such as swords, hammers and bows. It also affects physical activities such as grappling or climbing.

COO: Coordination has the highest effect on the accuracy of most weapons, it also determines many of the physical defenses.

END: Endurance is the only contributor to the number of wounds that a character has, it also affects most resistances. Excessive spending in Endurance will limit your character’s choice of abilities.

COG: Cognition affects many Abilities that require a degree of intelligence, such as assassination abilities, Parrying, dueling and the like. For example It is the main Attribute for Swashbucklers. It is also a very important Attribute for spell casters, as it determines starting mana and mana regen, as well as affecting many spells’ accuracy.

WIT: Wit is a requirement for many abilites and weapons that function on cunning or emotions. It is very beneficial to rogues as well as spell casters, who use it for spell damage and max mana.

  • Abilities
Abilities are the equivalent of Feats in D&D, they add, modify or change the actions of characters.

Abilities are bought with XP points

  • Skills

Skills are a measure of a Character’s capability to perform complex or difficult tasks such as lock picking, climbing or smithing.

Skill Rolls are calculated based on two attributes that are stated on that Skill. When determining the Skill Roll, look at a character’s related Attributes for that skill, the higher of the two will be the primary Skill Attribute, while the lower one will be the secondary. Skill Roll Calculation: 100% Primary Attribute + 50% Secondary Attribute.

Some skills are available to all characters, others are gained automatically through races, while others can only be used if first unlocked by spending their XP cost.

    Skill Upgrades:
    Amateur
    Apprentice
    Adept
    Journeyman
    Expert
    Master

Unlocking each of these opens up side upgrades.
