Today there are many different programs available for people to use as a resource to help them with either an individual project or a group project. One such program is google drive. In google drive you connect with others right on your document. My favorite part about google drive is that you can mark a certain part of the work and leave a comment in it for all others who are working on it to see. Not only can they see the comment but they also can see what exactly the comment is talking about side by side. If you were working on a project as an individual Google Drive book marks what exactly you did on each day. This could come particularly useful with a programming project. If one day you try to make changes and start building off it just to realize a few days later that the changes you made won’t work for what you need your program to do, you can easily instead of having to change everything back just resort back to your previous version in a programming project. The one really cool thing about google drive is it allows you to open and view over 30 types of files, even if your computer doesn’t have the program installed on your computer. Also you can connect to your google drive and look at all your files anywhere on any computer which makes it not necessary to lug around your computer and files everywhere you go. Another useful resource is Ginko App. Ginko app is very much alike Google Drive but also has its own features that makes it special. Ginko is cool because it allows you to work on both the structure and content simultaneously which is a much harder thing to do in other programs. While working in many programs nothing throws me off more or makes me lose a train of thought more than whenever a pop up or notification comes up that needs to be serviced. Ginko is nice because it stays out of the way and allows you to go back and attend to any problems that arose while you were working on it. This becomes even more helpful in my eyes while working on a programming project. Nothing would anger me more than when eclipse would make me service some line of code before I could move on and continue with the idea I had. Where many of these projects compete against each other is how they allow users to work together on group projects. Ginko is nice because it allows each user to work on their part separately but the changes don’t take place on the main project, each person has their own copy so the group can see what each person is thinking without actually having everyone make changes just onto one document which can make things confusing. These are just two of the many different programs out there today which allows people to work on programs and projects. It’s up to you to decide which program is right for you.
