#Why it Matters
It lead me to be more against writing because I do not like writing for spontaneous prompts.
I thought writing in a given period of time was a terrible idea because you can’t fully test the student’s writing ability in a half day period.
Every year we do this and I think there could be much better ways of testing reading ability that reading a certain number of minutes every week.
Although I do not like weekly reading I do enjoy the response to the weekly reading.
It showed me how writing can be enjoyable.
#Vivid Scene Ideas
I had to write about a character from a book that had an impact on me and I chose Bilbo Baggins from the Hobbit.
We had to write about three things we would take to survive. On the first day of writing, I wrote a full four page story about how I would use the items. The next day I found out that I head to tell and explain why I would choose these items instead of writing a story, so my essay was rushed.
I never have time to read during the school week because I play sports, so I have to read during Sunday. Reading during Sunday takes away time I could be doing something more productive than reading for a certain number of minutes.
One thing I like about reading is responding to what I read. I like to give my opinion on things, and giving it on a book makes reading to me more enjoyable.
I got to write about my grandpa and how he used to hunt alligators. I actually got to plan to write this essay unlike the one in 8th grade.
