• Religion and Relationship:

  • Concept/Purpose Statement: There is a lot of talk about how Christianity is not a Religion but a Relationship. This seems to be the new and trendy thing to say, but is it really true? Are we willing to say what it takes to be relevant while sacrificing something sacred?

    This idea has been brewing in my mind for several years. I’ve been the overly religious and I’ve been the “It’s really just a relationship” guy. The idea to write something down came to fruition when I read this Tweet from @evangelicalhipster and the response from Chad Ragsdale @caragsdale “It’s not a religion, it’s a relationship.” RE:Ya, but show mea flourishing relationship that is completely without ritual.

  • Ideas: Pharisees were the bastions of religion. Jesus came to put a relationship to the religion. This isn’t why the pharisees were wrong. Reread parts of Accidental Pharisees

  • Ideas: Jesus came to establish the relationship that God always wanted with his creation. He fulfilled the law.
