Nowadays pretty much all smartphones have a GPS (http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/gps-phone.htm), which pinpoints the location of the device.  This can be very useful for various apps and features on a phone.

First of all, with GPS you will never be lost, and finding the restaurant in a new neighbourhood won't be a challenge anymore. Also, if you would ever lose your phone, or if it would happen to be stolen, it is easy to track its location with the tracker.

With the GPS, now we can also get detailed, location-based weather (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apalon.weatherlive.free) information anywhere we go.
